The city of Fairview is located 15 miles east of Portland and enjoys easy access to Mt. Hood and the Columbia River Gorge. Founded in 1908
Fairview has historically been a residential and farming community and is home to Townsend Farms one of Oregon’s largest berry producers and also one of Fairview’s largest businesses. A few boat launches around the area provide easy access to the water on either Blue Lake or on the Columbia River by way of the Chinook Landing boat launch. Blue Lake Regional Park offers paddle boat rowboat and canoe rentals May through September. Lake goers also enjoy the fishing swimming in the lake the gold-level 18-hole disc golf course or the “spray ground” water feature which keeps kids and adults cool on warm summer days.
