Gresham borders the eastern edge of the City of Portland and is the fourth largest city in Oregon. Gresham is home to three public school districts as well as Mt. Hood Community College. Over the years the city has seen growth from a rural farming community to a community of over 105000 residents.

Two museums capture the history of the area including a farmhouse built in 1874 the Zimmerman House Museum which was once a 600 acre farmstead along the Columbia River.  Residents enjoy the close proximity to the Mt. Hood National forest which is less than 20 miles away. One of the community’s most popular events is the Spirit of Christmas tree lighting ceremony held on the Saturday after Thanksgiving every year. TriMet the region’s public transit district serves residents with both buses and light rail.
