Students engage deeply with subjects such as geography, biology, history, language, mathematics, science, music, and art, using their imagination and problem-solving skills to make meaningful connections. The school’s multi-age classrooms create a collaborative learning environment, where students learn from one another and develop essential skills in planning, organizing, and strategizing.

Since expanding its elementary program to include 4th grade in 2014 and 5th and 6th grades by 2016, West Hills Montessori has continued to grow while remaining committed to the Montessori philosophy of hands-on, individualized learning. With two campuses in Southwest Portland, the school offers a nurturing, intellectually stimulating environment where students are encouraged to explore, ask questions, and develop into confident, well-rounded individuals.
