Ridgefield School District (RSD) serves the growing community of Ridgefield, WA, in Clark County, offering high-quality education across its four schools: Union Ridge Elementary, South Ridge Elementary, View Ridge Middle School, and Ridgefield High School. With a focus on academic excellence, community involvement, and future-ready learning, RSD provides a supportive and innovative educational environment for students.

Superintendent Nathan McCann fosters open communication and community engagement through monthly “Coffee Talks,” where residents can discuss perspectives and provide input on the district’s future. Ridgefield School District has fully implemented Common Core Standards and the Smarter Balanced Assessment, ensuring students receive rigorous, standardized instruction that prepares them for college and career success.

Located 25 miles north of Portland, Ridgefield is a fast-growing yet charming town with a population of just over 6,000 residents. Originally a trading hub in the 1860s, Ridgefield was officially incorporated in 1909 and continues to maintain a strong sense of community and commitment to educational excellence. As the district expands to accommodate new families and students, it remains dedicated to academic innovation, small-town values, and strong community partnerships.
