The North Clackamas School District encompasses more than 40 square miles and is located 12 miles from downtown Portland. Cities include Milwaukie Happy Valley and Johnson City as well as parts of Damascus and the neighborhoods of Oak Grove, Concord, Clackamas, Sunnyside, Mount Scott, Southgate and Carver. The District has 20 students for every full-time equivalent teacher with the Oregon state average being 19 students per full-time equivalent teacher. There are 15 elementary schools five middle schools and eight high schools along with three magnet schools and four charter schools. The school district is dedicated to communication and commitment to the children of the community providing innovative opportunities so that each child can have an equal chance at success.
