Linfield University, formerly known as Linfield College, is a private liberal arts institution located in McMinnville, Oregon. The university offers undergraduate degrees in arts, sciences, and professional programs, providing a close-knit environment where students are encouraged to learn and explore. Nationally praised for combining affordability and excellence, Linfield promotes intellectual challenge and creativity within a collaborative environment. Students often work alongside faculty mentors on research projects, papers, and conference presentations that span the curriculum.

In July 2020, Linfield transitioned from a college to a university, reflecting its growth and the addition of new programs. As of Fall 2024, Linfield University enrolled 1,709 students from 29 states and 14 countries, with 67% hailing from Oregon. The student body comprises 41.5% male and 58.4% female students, with 39.9% identifying as U.S. students of color.

Linfield regularly ranks as one of the nation’s top schools for international study, community engagement, and commitment to sustainability. The university’s athletic program is notable, with the Wildcat football team holding the longest winning streak of any college football team in the country, finishing seasons above the .500 mark since 1956.
