Hillsboro School District (HSD) is the fourth-largest school district in Oregon, serving over 20,400 students across 26 elementary schools, four middle schools, and four high schools—Century, Glencoe, Hillsboro (Hilhi), and Liberty. Founded in 1851, the district covers Hillsboro, North Plains, and parts of Cornelius, Aloha, Sherwood, and surrounding communities, providing diverse educational opportunities and career-focused learning.

HSD is dedicated to college and career readiness through its Pathways program, ensuring students are aware, eligible, and prepared for success after high school. The district is also known for its strong robotics programs across all grade levels and a STEM/STEAM focus at four elementary schools, along with STEM-related programming at multiple additional schools. These initiatives help equip students with hands-on, real-world learning experiences in science, technology, engineering, and the arts.

Located 16 miles southwest of downtown Portland, Hillsboro is Oregon’s fifth-largest city, with a population of over 91,000 residents. As home to technology giant Intel, the area has a strong tech-driven economy, and the school district aligns its academic programs with industry needs, ensuring students gain valuable skills for future careers. With a focus on innovation, student success, and workforce readiness, Hillsboro School District remains a top choice for families in the Portland metro area.
